Bernie grew up in Sydney before relocating to Hobart in 2007.

A lifelong musician, Bernie began playing and performing music as a teenager and completed a Bachelor of Music at the Australian Institute of Music in 1999. While he now also works as an electrician, music has always been his true passion.

Based in Hobart, Bernie performs regularly both privately and publicly, primarily as a solo artist. Recently, he has expanded his musical journey by forming a trio, which has added a fresh dynamic to his performances. Although his repertoire has largely focused on cover gigs, Bernie is now eager to write and share more of his original music.

A talented guitarist, Bernie's style moves from country tones to rock, with distinct vocals that form a true Australian sound.

In September 2020, Bernie released his debut EP, A Long Time Coming. Recorded at Samuel Bester’s studio, Elephant Ears, just outside Hobart, the EP reflects his dedication to his craft.
